Conservation

South Humber Bank Wildlife Partnership is carrying out much conservation work at various sites in the region.

Information on visiting any site - Far Ings, Barton, Alkborough Flats etc. - can be obtained from the NNR Visitor Centre, Far Ings Road, Barton DN18 5RG. 'Phone: 01652 637055

The Partnership also arranges field walks, looking for ancient objects and invites anyone to join in - tel: 01724 843533 for details.

Help from Neighbourhood Watch

"Smartwater" - this is a material which can be "painted" on to house contents to assist in their tracing in the event of a burglary. It is shortly to be introduced to this area and recent trials elsewhere have shown a dramatic reduction in burglaries. It will be available through Neighbourhood Watch - Ian Smith on 652084 has details.
